3. Beijing (B,L,D)
After breakfast in the hotel, we will take our coach
to the Great Wall, one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
Great Wall is about six thousand kilometers in length
from east to west across the country. It is the only
manmade structure visible from the moon. In the afternoon
we will marvel at the incredible Ming Tombs, where 13
of the 16 Emperors of the Ming Dynasty were buried.
A stroll along the Sacred Road with its stone statues
is especially interesting.
We will enjoy the famous Beijing Duck banquet for dinner,
with Chinese traditional folk dancing entertainment.
4. Beijing - Xian (B,L,D)
We start today’s tour from the Tiananmen Square – the
largest square in the world. The present Tiananmen Square
has an area of 440,000 square meters and has become
a relaxing place for the common people to fly kites
and walk. Behind the Tiananmen Gate Tower is the Palace
Museum, also known as the Forbidden City. The City was
built between 1406 and 1420 and served as the Imperial
Palace for 24 Emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
This complex, being the world largest Imperial Palace,
features more than 800 buildings with resplendent golden-glazed
roofs, red lacquered pillars and vermilion walls. In
the afternoon we will tour the Temple of Heaven where
the Ming and Qing Emperors worshipped the God of Heaven
and preyed for a good harvest. You can visit the most
brilliant buildings there, the Circular Mound Altar
(Yuanqiutan), Imperial Vault of Heaven (Huangqiongyu)
and Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest (Qiniandian) from
south to north. What’s more, you can have a chance to
experience the magnificent atmosphere of the Echo Wall
around the Imperial Vault of Heaven. After dinner, we
will take the night train to Xian.
5 Xian (B,L,D)
In the morning arrive in Xian, capital of Shaanxi Province.
With its 6000-year history, Xian was once the largest
city in the world. It was also the starting point of
the famous ancient Silk Road. About eleven ancient dynasties
in the Chinese history once claimed Xian as their Capital.
We will first visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda of the
ancient Tang Dynasty, and then visit the Medicine Market
and the Great Mosque. A walk along the Old City Wall
can let you know this ancient city better.
6. Xian (B,L,D)
Today, our tour begins with a visit to the astonishing
underground ruins, Museum of Qin Terra-Cotta Warriors
and Horses. Concealed under earth, those thousands of
life-sized clay warriors, horses and chariots, as part
of the Tomb of Emperor Qinshihuang, were discovered
accidentally by a farmer while digging out a well near
his home. We will go to the excavation site to see those
lifelike warriors and horses and then visit the Huaqing
Hot Spring, where the Queen of Tang Dynasty used to
take her bath.
7. Xian – Luoyang (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we will take the train to Luoyang.
You may enjoy the great sights of Mt. Huashan as our
train pass. Upon arrival, we will have a short city
tour before dinner.
8. Luoyang (B,L,D)
Luoyang is one of the six well-known ancient Capitals
of China. The long history as well as beautiful scenes
has made Luoyang a pearl inlaid in Henan Province. Among
them the most famous sight is the Longmen Grottoes.
We will enjoy the astonishing arts and crafts made by
ancient artists some thousands years ago. The White
Horse Temple is worth seeing, and the Royal City Park
emits fragrances of Luoyang Peonies, for which the city
is famous.
9. Luoyang – Shaolin Temple
– Zhengzhou - Nanjing (B,L,D)
After breakfast we will take our way to Shaolin Temple.
The Temple was built in 495 A.D. and has gained world
reputation for its Chinese Shaolin Martial Arts (Kungfu).
We will visit the Temple, Pagoda Forest and enjoy a
wonderful Shaolin Kungfu Show of the Shaolin Monks.
After dinner we will take a night train to Nanjing from
Zhengzhou.
10. Nanjing (B,L,D)
Nanjing is another ancient city of China. A history
of some six thousand years has given it a sense of majesty.
Our tour will begin with a tour around this old city.
After that, we will visit the great Yangtze River Bridge,
which was built in 1968. After lunch, we will go to
Mausolaum of Dr. Sun Yat-Sen, which was built in memory
of the greatest leader Sun Yat-Sen who fought against
Feudalism in his whole life.
11. Nanjing - Suzhou (B,L,D)
In the morning we leave for Suzhou. Resting in the arms
of the ancient Grand Canal, Suzhou is well known for
its old delicate gardens and is considered “Oriental
Venice”. We will see different types of Gardens today
such as the Tiger Hill, the Garden of the Master of
the Nets, the Lingering Garden, and Hanshan Temple.
As Suzhou is the centre of textile industry in China,
today you have a chance to visit a Silk Factory. There
you will witness the born of world-famous Suzhou silk
and silk embroidery.
12. Suzhou-Shanghai (B,L,D)
After breakfast we will take the coach to Zhouzhuang
and visit the ancient Water Village there. Then we proceed
to Shanghai.
Shanghai is the largest commercial center in China,
and the largest city in Asia. It is nestled in the fertile
Yangtze River Valley, a home to 14 million people. We
will visit the Jade Buddha Temple, which is famous for
its huge Jade Buddha, each of them was carved out of
a single piece of Jade.
13. Shanghai - USA (B,L)
We will visit Yuyuan Garden, a finely designed maze
of elegant pavilions and ponds in the old part of the
city. We will also see the famous Bund, the most loved
waterfront stretching in China, about one mile along
the Huangpu River. In the afternoon, we will transfer
to the Pudong Airport for our flight back home.
