Chinese Tourists To USA


In summer of 2004, an official US tourism office was established in China. During its opening news conference attended by the US Embassy's visa consuls and the US government officials, a clear welcome message was sent to the ordinary Chinese citizens who intend to visit the USA as a tourist. On December 6th, 2004, a Sino-US Tourism Memo was signed in order to promote tourism into both countries. As of January 15th, 2005, Chinese citizens for the first time started to obtain multiple entry visas into the USA. Today, Chinese tourists are considered VIPs in western countries, and ordinary Chinese citizens vacationing in the USA is no longer a dream.

2. Guangzhou (L,D)
Arrival in Guangzhou in the morning.
Our local English-speaking tour guide will warmly welcome you, and a city tour is arranged for the afternoon, includes the Chen’s Family Temple and the Memorial Hall of Sun Yat-Sen, who was the founding father of modern China.

3 Guangzhou – Kunming (B,L,D)
A city tour shows Yuexiu Park, the largest park in Guangzhou. There you can visit the mighty Zhenhai Tower. It is a magnificent building, commanding a bird's-eye view of the whole city. The tower now houses the City Museum, with exhibits which describe the history of Guangzhou from Neolithic times till the early part of this century. After lunch we fly to Kunming.

4. Kunming (B,L,D)
Kunming is named as “the City of Eternal Spring” because of its wild weather. Our tour here will begin with a visit to the Stone Forest, the most remarkable nature phenomena in China. The Stone Forest consists of 80 hectares of innumerable bizarre shaped ancient limestone cliff and peaks created by wind and water erosion some 270 million years ago. The journey to the forest is as beautiful as the landscapes that surround it.
For dinner you will have Yuannan specialties – “Over Bridge Rice Noodle” and the “Tian Qi Steam Pot Chicken”.

5 Kunming - Dali (B,L,D)
In the morning a city tour will show you the Western Hills and the Dianchi Lake, which is the largest lake in Yunnan Province and the Sixth largest lake in China. Then you can experience for yourself the beauty of this city. We will also visit the Golden Temple and the Bird and Flower Market. Refresh yourself after dinner and we will take our night train to Dali.

6 Dali (B,L,D)
Arrive in Dali in the early morning and start your tour from the traditional Bai People’s Tie-Dye Cloth Workshop at Zhoucheng Town, the Bai People’s native house with their traditional Three-Tea Singing and Dancing Show, the honorable age-old Three Pagodas. In the afternoon you will visit the Butterfly Spring and the Butterfly Museum, where hundreds of butterflies in different size and color flutter around. At the end of the day you’ll go to the local Bai People market in the old town to see the Bai People’s daily life.

7. Dali - Lijiang (B,L,D)
Take the morning coach to beautiful Lijiang. Visit the Old Town of Lijiang, which is regarded as the Oriental Venice unsophisticated and picturesque, especially for the buildings there. As a result of the combination of the multinational culture and the progress of Naxi ethnic minority, the buildings in the town incorporate the best parts of the architectural traits of Han, Bai, and Tibet into a unique Naxi style. Then we will visit the Black Dragon Pool renowned for its over 500 kinds of flowers and famous pavilions.

8 Lijiang (B,L,D)
After breakfast at hotel you will start your full day sightseeing tour to the Yunshan Meadow with a chair lift ride to the Jade Dragon Mountain. It is a famous mountain with thirteen peaks resembling Jade Pillars, the Jade Peak Lama Temple, The White Water and Ming Dynasty’s Baisha Mural Paintings. In the evening enjoy the traditional Mufu Dinner Show.

9 . Lijiang - Shangri-la (B,L,D)
Take the morning coach to Shangri-la, also known as Zhongdian. Shangri-la is a small beautiful town of Tibetan Minority Group. We will visit the scenic Napa Meadow and also the 300 years old Songzanlin Tibetan Monastery, which is the largest Lama Temple outside of Tibet.

10 Shangri-la -Kunming (B,L,D)
In the morning we will visit a local Tibetan’s family. You can experience for yourself the daily life of ordinary people there. Take the evening flight back to Kunming.

11. Kunming – Guangzhou (B,L,D)
In the morning we leave for Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong Province, is given the name of “flower city”, because it grows countless types of beautiful flowers all year round. We will visit the Temple of the Six Banyan Trees. It was named by one of the most famous ancient poets in the history, Su Dongpo.

12 Guangzhou - USA (B)
Enjoy your leisure time in the morning and then transfer to the Airport for our flight back home for the USA.
