3. Beijing (B,L,D)
Beijing is the Capital of China, once served as the
Capital City for 5 dynasties over a period of 800
years. We start today’s tour from the Tiananmen Square
– the largest square in the world. The present Tiananmen
Square has an area of 440,000 square meters and has
become a relaxing place for the common people to fly
kites and walk. Behind the Tiananmen Gate Tower is
the Palace Museum, also known as the Forbidden City.
The City was built between 1406 and 1420 and served
as the Imperial Palace for 24 Emperors of the Ming
and Qing Dynasties. This complex, being the world
largest Imperial Palace, features more than 800 buildings
with resplendent golden-glazed roofs, red lacquered
pillars and vermilion walls. In the afternoon we will
tour the Temple of Heaven where the Ming and Qing
Emperors worshipped the God of Heaven and preyed for
a good harvest. You can visit the most brilliant buildings
there, the Circular Mound Altar (Yuanqiutan), Imperial
Vault of Heaven (Huangqiongyu) and Hall of Prayer
for Good Harvest (Qiniandian) from south to north.
What’s more, you can have a chance to experience the
magnificent atmosphere of the Echo Wall around the
Imperial Vault of Heaven.
4. Beijing (B,L,D)
After breakfast in the hotel, we will take our coach
to the Great Wall, one of the Seven Wonders of the
World. The Wall is about six thousand kilometers in
length from east to west across the country, and the
only manmade structure visible from the Moon.
In the afternoon we will marvel at the incredible
Ming Tombs, where 13 of the 16 Emperors of the Ming
Dynasty were buried. What’s more, a stroll along the
Sacred Road with its stone statues is especially interesting.
We will enjoy the famous Beijing Duck banquet for
dinner, with Chinese traditional folk dancing entertainment.
5. Beijing (B,L,D)
We will visit the Summer Palace, which was built in
1750 as a royal recreational resort. About 75% of
the Garden was covered with water---the Kunming Lake.
Among its famous features are the 700-meter-long corridors
with its wonderful Painted Gallery, the Marble Barge,
and several magnificently painted pavilions and pagodas.
It is said that the huge amount of money used for
building the Summer Palace was supposed to build a
Chinese Navy, however, the huge Marble Barge by the
vast Lake was the only thing relating to the Navy.
Our afternoon will be spent at the Temple of Recumbent
Buddha. You can see a bronze recumbent Buddha inside
the Temple, which is how it received the name Temple
of Recumbent Buddha. We will enjoy the famous Beijing
Duck banquet for dinner, with Chinese traditional
folk dancing entertainment.
6. Beijing – Mt. Huangshan (B,L,D)
In the morning we will visit Lama Temple, which is
the most famous Buddhist Temple and it was once a
living Palace for the Emperor of the Qing Dynasty.
Then you can take a walk in Wangfujing, the famous
commercial area in Beijing. After an early dinner,
we will fly to Tunxi in the Huangshan Area and transfer
to Yun Gu Resort to have refreshment and rest.
7. Mt. Huangshan (B,L,D)
Mt. Huangshan is now the only mountain listed among
the Top Ten Scenic Spots of China. It is famous for
four unique features: the unusual rock formations;
the strange shape of pine trees, the sea of the clouds
and the hot springs. We will climb the mountain by
cable car from the Cloud Valley Temple, all the way
to White Goose Range Stop, the Heihu Song, the Beginning
– to – Believe Peak and Beihai.
8. Mt. Huangshan (B,L,D)
Today’s tour will start from the Xihai. We will visit
the Echo Wall, the Falling Rock From Sky, and the
Cloud Dispersing Pavilion. We will enjoy the beautiful
sunset on the Red Cloud Peak or in the Cloud Dispersing
Pavilion.
9. Mt. Huangshan – Nanjing (B,L,D)
Enjoy the fantastic sunrise on the Lion Peak. Then
we will go to see the Bright Summit Peak, Tian Hai,
Bai Yun Sightseeing Area, the Bie Yu Peak as well
as the Bie Yu Cave, the Lotus Peak and the Ladders
on the Clouds. Climb up the Jade Screen Pavilion and
visit the famous Guest Greeting Pine. Finally visit
the Three-Island at Penglai, where it is said the
living place of the Gods and also the Mercy Light
Pavilion. After lunch we will take a coach to Nanjing.
10. Nanjing - Suzhou (B,L,D)
Nanjing is another ancient city of China. A history
of some six thousand years has given it a sense of
majesty. Today our today will start at Ming Xiaoling
Mausoleum. Legend says that in order to prevent robbery
of the tomb, 13 same processions of funeral troops
started from 13 city gates to cover the real burying
site. Enjoy some leisure time and after lunch, we
will drive for Suzhou.
11. Suzhou – Tongli - Suzhou (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we will drive for Tongli, a beautiful
small water village near Suzhou, which is famous for
the traditional houses there. In the evening drive
back to Suzhou and rest.
12. Suzhou – Hangzhou (B,L,D)
Resting in the arms of the ancient Grand Canal, Suzhou
is well known for its old delicate gardens. Narrow
canals threaded between white walled houses have earned
Suzhou the name “Venice of the East”. We will visit
the exquisite Lingering Garden, the Tiger Hill. As
Suzhou is the centre of textile industry in China,
today you have a chance to visit a Silk Factory. There
you will witness the born of world-famous Suzhou silk
and silk embroidery. In the afternoon, we will take
the train to Hangzhou.
13. Hangzhou (B,L,D)
Hangzhou is the Capital of Zhejiang Province. It was
praised in an ancient Chinese poem as a “Paradise
on Earth”. Today, we will start our tour with a relaxing
cruise on the picturesque West Lake. We can enjoy
a cup of famous Dragon-well Tea at the Tea Farm. Then
visit the majestic Lin Yin Temple, which is known
as the Temple of Inspired Seclusion. Afterwards we
will go to Mausoleum of General Yue Fei, which was
built in memory of Yue Fei, one of the greatest generals
in Chinese history. We will also visit the famous
Tiger Running Spring and the mysterious Fei Lai Feng
(Peak Flown From Afar).
14. Hangzhou - Shanghai (B,L,D)
In the morning we will have an wonderful tour to Six
Harmonies Pagoda. Commanding a spectacular view of
the surging Qiantang River, the pagoda presents a
quiet image of age-old majesty. Enjoy your leisure
time then after lunch we leave for Shanghai, the largest
commercial center in China. We will visit the Jade
Buddha Temple, which is famous for its huge Jade Buddha,
each of them was carved out of a single piece of Jade.
15. Shanghai – USA (B,L)
We will visit Yu Garden, a finely designed maze of
elegant pavilions and ponds in the old part of the
city. We will also go to the famous Nanjing Road and
the Bund. In the afternoon, we will transfer to the
Pudong Airport for our flight back home
