In summer
of 2004, an official US tourism office was
established in China. During its opening news
conference attended by the US Embassy's visa
consuls and the US government officials, a
clear welcome message was sent to the ordinary
Chinese citizens who intend to visit the USA
as a tourist. On December 6th, 2004, a Sino-US
Tourism Memo was signed in order to promote
tourism into both countries. As of January
15th, 2005, Chinese citizens for the first
time started to obtain multiple entry visas
into the USA. Today, Chinese tourists are
considered VIPs in western countries, and
ordinary Chinese citizens vacationing in the
USA is nolonger a dream.

1. USA - Beijing
Depart your hometown for your flight to Beijing, China.
2. Beijing (L,D)
Arrive in Beijing in the morning and warmly welcomed
by your English-speaking local guide at the airport.
Visit the Summer Palace, which was built in 1750 as
a royal recreational resort. About 75% of |

the Garden was covered with water------the Kunming
Lake. Among its famous features are the 700-meter-long
corridors with its wonderful Painted Gallery, the
Marble Barge, and several magnificently painted pavilions
and pagodas. It is said that the huge amount of money
used for building the Summer Palace was supposed to
build a Chinese Navy, however, the huge Marble Barge
by the vast Lake was the only thing relating to the
Navy.
3. Beijing (B,L,D)
After breakfast in the hotel, we will take our coach
to the Great Wall, one of the Seven Wonders of the
World. The Wall is about six thousand kilometers in
length from east to west across the country, and the
only manmade structure visible from the Moon.
In the afternoon we will marvel at the incredible
Ming Tombs, where 13 of the 16 Emperors of the Ming
Dynasty were buried.
What is more, a stroll along the Sacred Road with
its stone statues is especially interesting. We will
enjoy the famous Beijing Duck banquet for dinner,
with Chinese traditional folk dancing entertainment.
4. Beijing - Zhengzhou (B,L,D)
After breakfast we will visit the Tiananmen Square---the
largest square in the world.
The present Tiananmen Square has an area of 440,000
square meters and has become a relaxing place for
the common people to fly kites and walk. Behind the
Tiananmen Gate Tower is the Palace Museum, also known
as the Forbidden City. The Forbidden City was built
between 1406 and 1420 and served as the Imperial Palace
for 24 Emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. This
complex, being the world largest Imperial Palace,
features more than 800 buildings with resplendent
golden-glazed roofs, red lacquered pillars and vermilion
walls. There are over 9000 rooms in the Forbidden
City, therefore if you choose to spend one day in
each of the rooms, it will take you 27 years. In the
afternoon we will tour the Temple of Heaven where
the Ming and Qing Emperors worshipped the God of Heaven
and preyed for a good harvest. You can visit the most
brilliant buildings there, the Circular Mound Altar
(Yuanqiutan), Imperial Vault of Heaven (Huangqiongyu)
and Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest (Qiniandian) from
south to north. What’s more, you can have a chance
to experience the magnificent atmosphere of the Echo
Wall around the Imperial Vault of Heaven. After dinner,
we will leave for Zhengzhou.
5. Zhengzhou – Yellow River - Kaifeng (B,L,D)
Zhengzhou is the capital city of Henan Province. Upon
arrival we will go to the Yellow River Scenic Area.
The area is 4.5 kilometers long with its eastern end
at the Yellow River Bridge and western in the ruins
of the ancient battle field of King Liubang and King
Xiangyu. It is a special one featuring brilliant Yellow
River culture, beautiful mountain forest and unique
cave dwellings of the loess plateau. In the afternoon
we will continue our road to Kaifeng. Transfer to
the hotel and have a good rest.
6. Kaifeng –Shaolin Temple - Luoyang (B,L,D)
After breakfast we will go to Shaolin Temple, where
is believed to have China’s most sophisticated Kungfu
Masters. We will see how the Kungfu Monks live, and
what Kungfu performance they will present to us. Kaifeng
is another ancient Capital in Henan Province, Minister
Bao Zheng’s Temple is located here. Bao Zheng is well
known in Chinese history for his selflessness and
loyalty. Tours to the Iron Pagoda, Xiangguo Temple
and the Old Street will be conducted before dinner.
Then we take the comfortable evening coach to Luoyang.
7. Luoyang (B,L,D)
Luoyang is one of the six well-known ancient Capitals
of China. Its long history and its beautiful scenes
has made Luoyang a pearl inlaid in Henan Province.
Among them the most famous sight is the Longmen Grottoes.
We will visit the Caves and enjoy the astonishing
arts and crafts made by ancient artists some thousands
years ago. The White Horse Pagoda is worth seeing,
and the Royal City Park emits fragrances of Luoyang
Peonies, for which the city is famous.
8. Luoyang - Xian (B,L,D)
Leave for Xian in the morning. Xian is the Capital
city of Shaanxi Province, which has a history of nearly
6000 years. It was also the starting point of the
famous ancient Silk Road. Eleven ancient dynasties
in the Chinese history once claimed Xian as their
Capital. We will first visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda
of the ancient Tang Dynasty, and then visit the Medicine
Market and the Great Mosque. A walk along the Old
City Wall can let you know this ancient city better.
9. Xian (B,L,D)
Today, our tour begins with a visit to the astonishing
underground ruins, Museum of Qin Terra-Cotta Warriors
and Horses. Concealed under earth, those thousands
of life-sized clay warriors, horses and chariots,
as part of the Tomb of Emperor Qinshihuang, were discovered
accidentally by a farmer while digging out a well
near his home. We will go to the excavation site to
see those lifelike warriors and horses and then visit
the Huaqing Hot Spring, where the Queen of Tang Dynasty
used to take her bath.
10. Xian - Hangzhou (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we will visit the Shannxi Provincial
History Museum. Then you can enjoy some leisure time.
We take a flight to Hangzhou in the afternoon.
11. Hangzhou (B,L,D)
Hangzhou is the Capital of Zhejiang Province. It was
praised in an ancient Chinese poem as a “Paradise
on Earth”. Today, we will start our tour with a relaxing
cruise on the picturesque West Lake. We can enjoy
a cup of famous Dragon-well Tea at the Tea Farm. Then
visit the majestic Lin Yin Temple, which is known
as the Temple of Inspired Seclusion. Afterwards we
will go to Mausoleum of General Yue Fei, which was
built in memory of Yue Fei, one of the greatest generals
in Chinese history. We will also visit the famous
Tiger Running Spring and the mysterious Fei Lai Feng
(Peak Flown From Afar).
12. Hangzhou - USA (B)
After breakfast you can enjoy your leisure time in
this beautiful city, and then transfer to the airport
and take your flight back home with the lasting memories
of this beautiful ancient country
